A flight over Montreal Road from Cummings’ Bridge to Blair Road back in 1933 with a few key landmarks highlighted. Also, the current street names are overlaid on the map. Sorry about the shaky video but there was a lot of turbulence… lol

Merci Jean. Great video
Why didnt they show The Playmate gentleman's club😢
The driveways were so so small for parking those big cars from the 60s era. 😅 Some of them hung over into the sidewalk
Very interesting!
Look how clean. Look how nicely dressed everyone is
I'm surprised at how long the Experimental Farm has maintained its name and purpose. I feel like the parks and gardens aren't quite what they used to be.
Excellent contribution Jean. Always nice to be reminded of the pre digital age. Thanks from British California
Merci Jean.
Some of those children could realistically be someone's grandparent, and still alive and kicking.
now it looks like a 3rd world shithole thanks to Trudeau and the Liberals
Dramatic music.
Isn’t it weird that streets look more crowded than today?
Clearly I was born in the wrong era. Fml
Bétonville as we call it. The ugly Hull
Your work is incredible! Hope to follow in your footsteps
Felicitation Jean...un de tes meilleurs...BobK

Worked here in the VERY early 70s. Wonderful memories
I worked at the tire shop on this corner breakfast at the Rainbow Saturday morning its now a pizza/Italian restaurant now good food
It had a pinball machine upstairs with the biggest ball I've ever seen in a machine. It was huge. I'm sure some people remember it.
awesome
All this, and Wing's Chinese Food is *still* there and *still* looks exactly the same.
Do you know the date this video was shot? Or the year and season?
Do you have more photos of the Montreal police feom the 70s-80s?
My mother would had been 4 years old at that time back in Golden Lake, after getting married and living in Gatineau, she would take us boys with her during the 60's, 70's down town and we would always walk by in the market, I can still recall the smell if the fish shop with the fish tank and the big Eel in it.
Interesting how Toronto and Calgary are the most changed...the other cities are pretty recognizable.
Epic
Cool
Everyone was so well dressed, gents in dress pants and shirt, and gals in dresses.
Probably more reliable than the Confederation Line!
Now byward is whore-place
I grew up in Vanier in the 90s. I wish I had this Vanier. It was so beautiful.
5:41 Street car is coming up Charlotte Street from Rideau. Buildings at centre and right are still there.
Ottawa used to be as good as Europe
It's now almost 10 years on, and Lebreton and surrounding neignbouroods has changed so much. It would be awesome to see this with a 3rd wipe to the present.
C'est fou. J'ai passer ma vie à vanier et ya des endroit où je ne reconaissaient même pas. Voir le cimetière sur une route aussi tranquille ma vraiment surprit.
Living in BC now, I grew up in Ottawa in the 50's, 60's and 70's and in Carleton Place until 2019. You videos remind me of how much I love the area and the history. Thank you so much for creating these.
Wow a new video!
Thank you for making these videos. Amazing work.
Excellent!
I miss the old pizzeria beside the 711 and the snack shack, their sign was shaped like a box of fries with some 2×4's to look like french fries its now bibis kitchen
Great video! I have been looking for footage or photographs of this parade and the Easter parade that annually went down the original St. Patrick street from St. Clement to the Notre Dame Cathedral. Somebody must have filmed them!
You do very fine work sir, thank you.
